May the Lord bless with grace, peace, and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 21st December 2021. We reflect on Songs 2:8-14 and Luke 1:39-45.
Pain, suffering, and anxiety disappear as soon as we see the one, we love in person.
Visiting someone in need brings blessings to both ends. Much more than a human visit, the visitation of God brings a full package of blessings. God visits us regularly in our life. When we realize and celebrate the visitation of God, there is so much joy, confidence and strength that come to us. However unworthy we can consider ourselves, yet God values us and galvanize every visit in our life. It is like a river that runs on the land that longs for its union with the water. It is like a lover craves a quality and lasting personal and intimate visit.
There is no compulsion for Mary to visit Elizabeth yet, as soon as She heard about the conception of Her cousin, she hastened to pay a visit and stayed with her enriching moments. No one encouraged Her to but God. Jesus, the Son of God visits the mother of the last prophet of the time in history.
Hastening to do good and to pay a visit to someone is more than a good thing to do. It is not a rush but without wasting time to bring the Son of God, even though He was in the womb, to Her close relative. The shepherds too hasted to pay homage to the Newborn Divine Infant and Zacchaeus made haste and came down.
We need to hasten ourselves to visit someone in need during this time of Advent as we fast approach Christmas.
May our visits bring blessings, healing, and joy to someone’s life. Let us hurry up to share the Good News that God loves us all. May God bless you.
