Life is a constant submission of our wills to the will of God

May the Lord grant you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit. It is 13th December 2021.

May the Lord grant you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is 13th December 2021.

We celebrate the memorial of St Lucy, virgin, and martyr.  May she intercede for all of us.  We reflect on Numbers 24:2-7, 15-17 and Matthew 21:23-27.

When we have received favours, gifts, and recognition, we find it hard, to tell the truth about the person or a group that offered it.  It is hard to speak ill-off when we have been enticed.  Balaam was instructed to curse Israel, but he ended up not only praising but prophesying in favour of Israel.  It is by giving up our evil connection, we open up to the voice of the Lord.

“I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near — a star shall come out of Jacob, and a sceptre shall rise out of Israel.” (Num. 24:17).

Life is a constant submission of our wills to the will of God.

The elders began to question Jesus’ authority for cleaning the temple.  Even though He did not answer them directly, yet He made them understand that He is the authority because of the proximity with the Father.  Emmanuel always did the will of God.

Advent is the time to choose the wisdom of the Father.  During this third week, we who feel the nearness of the presence of God engage in activities that uplift the spirit and life of the others rather than cursing and doing cunning things against others.

May God bless you.
