may the Lord bless you with peace, grace, and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 03rd December 2021.
We celebrate the feast day of St. Francis Xavier, Patron of Missions and Missionaries. A pastorally committed fatherly figure in bringing Christ closer to their life. With all the most sophisticated communication skills and equipment, we find it challenging to reach people and remain inspired. Even though he was not good at language, he could reach far and wide and thousands to the Lord by personal life and prayer. So, without personal prayers and penance, we cannot evangelise to God’s people.
We celebrate the International Day of Persons of determination. May the Lord open our hearts towards them to be partners in their happiness, success, and blessings. Let us pray for one person with different abilities.
We reflect on 1 Cor 9:16-19, 22-23 and the Gospel of Mark 16:15-20.
To be a missionary one needs to sign for the demands with the decision to reach out to every person and introduce Jesus through our presence and personal life with the poor. When we were baptised, we are all given the responsibility to reach far and wide carrying Christ.
It is indeed a duty, and a privilege to share our life experience in believing and living our life. Our depth of love for Jesus is seen in the way we share our rich and challenging experiences with them.
It is not enough we admire the saints in our life but now is the time to emulate them copy their fervour and commitment for Christ. Have a good day. God bless you.
