Doing good and protecting people from evil is so intrinsic to God

May the Lord bless you and give you peace and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is 06th September 2021.

We reflect on Colossians 1:24 – 2:3 and the Gospel of Luke 6:6-11.

Uninvolved life aggravates hatred and anger towards humanity.

Just imagine if God has a day-off and He does not do good and does not stop evil to spread, what will happen to us and to the world?

Doing good and protecting people from evil is so intrinsic to God.  God expects the believers like us to enhance and enable the good things we can spread around.

To continue doing good we need to realize our vocation to servanthood.  We have never become a Christian to boss over someone and control the issues of the world and dictate terms and conditions of better living.  But it is the vocation that complements the work of God not substituting God’s plan.

“It is Him whom we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” (Col.1:28).

The healing of a man with a withered hand by Jesus on Sabbath day triggers a lot of vibrations inside and out.  We are here on earth to continue the mission of Christ whether it is a good day, bad day, tiresome one or cheerful moment.  No way we can exempt ourselves on account of any reason we could justify on earth when it comes to helping and healing people.

Giving hope and healing is not a privilege but it is the power of being a believer in God.  It is not enough to feel Christ in our lives but to make others experience what we feel and experience in the Lord.

We can never be perfect without doing good by serving humanity at large. Our doing good can surely attract evil people to maliciously, and repeatedly attack us verbally as well as physically.  There is no need to be afraid of evil people.  They cannot harm us unless we inhale evil and start exhaling the same.

People can plot, plan, and perpetrate evil to us when we vow to do good.  May the Lord help us to give hope to the hopeless and the helpless.  God bless you
