It is 15th March 2021. The readings are from Isaiah 65:17-21; and the Gospel from John 4:43-54.
As the whole world is looking for a new day free of the pandemic, today’s readings offer hope to all of us.
“For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.” (Is.65:17).
When we get used to slavery, and suffering, we tend to remain in the situation for those little comforts they offer. But God wants us to come out of slavery and suffering. But not all the exiles from Babylon returned to rebuild and restart the life God intended to offer. God wants a complete renewal from all of us not a piece by piece one. God wants to offer a world free of pain, peril, and persecution.
The presence of Jesus in the Word of God heals all our wounds and weariness. The responsorial Psalm praises, “I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.” (Ps.30:1).
We all want to have Jesus in our life and home for integral healing like that of the official in the Gospel. We are expected such faith that was found in the official. A total surrender and trust in the Words of Jesus. After making the water into wine, Jesus performed the second of healing of a boy at the request of the father from distance. A new life, healing, and complete recovery from all that we go through today is possible when we can truly trust Jesus. No prayer or petition go unheard when we ask Jesus in complete trust and go by the terms and conditions of God. Lent is the time to renew our trust in the Lord by strengthening the fabrics of our faith. With faith in Jesus, we can obtain everything we have asked and everything God wants us to give. May we allow God to create newness in ourselves. Have a lovely day. God bless you.
