Dear People of God,
It is 09 the January 2015. The Readings of the Day are 1Jn 5:5-13 and Gospel Lk. 5:12-16. The First reading draws our attention on our belief in Jesus the Son of God. We receive eternal life and healing from Jesus. Healing is possible for the one who believes in Jesus, the Son of God. Whenever we have an out right refusal in the power of Jesus, we begin to have a serious relationship with God. The Responsorial Psalm offers praises to the Lord for what the Lord has done to Israel. “The Lord has blessed your children within you.” We begin to encounter such a loving, caring, and healing Jesus in the Gospel. “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.” and Jesus said, “Yes, I want to. Be clean.” God is willing to heal us always. Jesus is our healer. It is our faith in the Son of God brings healing. The way we surrender to Jesus and allowing Him to touch our lives brings healing. It is our attitude, our prayer and our submission to Jesus brings such kind of integral healing. Jesus moves inside the life of the leper. He not only healed his leprosy but restored his dignity by walking into life of someone who is in need of healing. In our lives we find many who have afflictions, and sickness. How do we handle them and react to them? What is our approach towards the other persons who are going through a difficult time due to problems and sickness? May the Lord bless you and heal you.
