It is 14th April 2015. The readings are from Acts. 4:32-37 and the Gospel from Jn. 3:7b-15. The first reading addresses the existential love of the brotherhood and sisterhood in the early Christian living. For them prayer life was indeed supreme which took them the next level to be responsible for each other and a deep conviction to share all they had. “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.” (Acts.4:32). Spiritual unity and a voluntary generosity to God and God’s People made all the difference in the early Christianity. The responsorial Psalm praises God, “The Lord is king, with majesty enrobed.” (Ps.91:1). The Gospel describes about the second birth. Jesus corrects the misunderstanding of Nicodemus and explains to him on second birth. No one can be born physically second time. Jesus explained him that being born anew can happen spiritually through believing in His passion, death and resurrection. Our connection with God will be nearly impossible without being connected with Jesus. Jesus is a unique person and God. A new life in the Spirit comes only through Jesus Christ. May the Risen Christ help you to have a spiritual unity and generosity towards one another through the faith we have in the Lord. May you have blessed day.
