It is 09th December 2015. The readings are from Is.40:25-31 and the Gospel from Mt. 11:28-30. The first reading talks about the majesty and power of God in the life of people. God is never tired of listening and helping us. And all us who put our trust in the Lord will never be tired and weary in facing the toughest situations of our lives. Trusting in God help us to go beyond our limits. We become mature in waiting patiently when we are truly trusting God. Whatever the forces of the nature, we can face it boldly with our God. “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Is.40:31). The responsorial Psalm praises, “My soul, give thanks to the Lord.” (Ps.102:1). The Gospel too invites us to come closer to Jesus in order to feel God’s guidance in our lives. Let us place all our trust in God because God shoulders all our problems. Whatever is the yoke, Jesus is willing to give us love, healing, peace with God. Our burdens could be our personal sins, excessive demands of religious leaders, oppression, persecution of all kinds, and tiredness in searching for God in the time of need. Yet our simple trust in Jesus could change everything in a moment. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Mt.12:28). May God bless you and have a good day.
