It is 10th September 2016. The reading are from 1 Corinthians 10:14-22; and the Gospel from Luke 6:43-49. In the first reading, St Paul tells us that the bond of unity is the resourceful state to feel the oneness of the mystical body of Christ. With all our weaknesses, and human vulnerability, and failures in the Church, we are all form one body no matter how weak and fragile we could be. Let us be careful about the divisive presence of the Satan and its comrades. Let us not betray Christ and the Church in the times of human weaknesses and scandals caused by some members of the Church. We and the Church belong to Christ. Let us accelerate our personal and communal prayers for the wounded Church. Let the Eucharist become the sacrificial meal which can strengthen our bond with Christ and with one another. Let us not give to the divisive mentality of Satan rather let us stand up against the evil through prayer. Beware of the intruders and the demons inside the Church. “I have no desire to see you in communion with demons. You cannot take your share at the table of the Lord and the table of demons.” (1 Cor. 10:20,21). The responsorial Psalm prays, “A thanksgiving sacrifice I make to you, O Lord.” (Ps.115:17). Jesus invites us to be fruitful if we are His followers. The maturity comes with tolerance and forbearance. Good intentions are vital for the good fruit. When we have the time to listen to Christ in the Gospels, we will not be able to entertain the gossips and lies. His holiness preached yesterday telling, “The gossiper is a ‘terrorist’ that throws the bomb-gossip- to destroy.” Our faith is just tested not shaken. “Fear not, little flock, for your Father desires to give you The Kingdom.” (Lk.12:32). Have a good day. God bless you.
