Good morning good people, May the Lord give you peace and blessings in the Holy Spirit. It is 06th November 2025. We reflect on Romans 14:7-12 and Luke 15:1-10.
Are we mistaken or misleading others? Are we repenting or resenting?
Jimmy Johnson invites us to chase after someone we believe: “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.”
Whom we live for takes precedence over what we live for. Life gives us innumerable opportunities to live for others. True living requires profound listening — to oneself and to the other person.
The tug of war between pride and insolent attitudes never allows us to adapt to the variable behaviours of others. The realization of living for the Lord embraces vulnerability and brokenness — in ourselves and in others — without judging. Critiquing is easier than being non-judgmental and tolerant in observing another person. Our living and dying to ourselves has a greater impact on others than we can imagine.
When we fail to live for the Lord, we fall out of tune with others and end up condemning and posing threats to the very existence of humanity in subtle and unseen ways.
The Gospel convinces us that mercy finds its passage and journey even when there is a complete blockage — just as a river finds and creates a new way of life and flow.
Belongingness demands accountability in our life and living. We have not been as generous as the Lord expects of us.
Bringing ourselves closer to the Lord is the primary demand of life. Yet if our life brings someone else closer to the Lord, all of Heaven rejoices. “There is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10)
The drama of grace and humility is never-ending in our lives, as it is in the stories of today’s Gospel.
May we continue to live and die for the Lord, and look out for someone in need of God’s mercy.
Have a beautiful day.
