Good morning, Good People,
May the Lord give you peace, and blessings in the Holy Spirit. It is 12th July 2025.
We reflect on Genesis 49:29–33; 50:15–26 and the Gospel of Matthew 10:24–38.
And St. Thérèse of Lisieux, in her childlike wisdom, declares: “The more I am afraid, the more I throw myself into the arms of Jesus.”
What fear grips your heart today?
So—what are you afraid of now, today, in this moment?
Death? Sickness? Loneliness? Loss?
The more we love God, the less we fear people, places, and the uncertain plans of life. Fear often bubbles up from the edges of our hearts—especially when we feel insecure, unstable, or insufficient.
As waves of pandemic anxiety have repeatedly shrouded human life with a blanket of fear, now more than ever, we must fumigate our souls with trust, hope, and love in God. The mantra of a peaceful and prosperous life remains live without fear.
To rely on God’s providence is to open the door to forgiveness, peace, and charity. Divine providence provides, protects, and promotes our good through every season of life. Even our final wishes are lovingly fulfilled by God through those who cherish us.
In today’s reading, the death of Jacob and Joseph awakens the sacred hope of reaching our eternal homeland—a reunion with our ancestral roots in the Father’s house. Jacob’s passing stirred fear in the hearts of Joseph’s brothers. Yet Joseph, like a mirror of God’s mercy, responded with radiant compassion:
“So have no fear; I myself will provide for you and your little ones.” (Gen. 50:21)
The Responsorial Psalm fortifies us: “Turn to the Lord in your need and you will live.” (Psalm 69:33)
Jesus, in the Gospel, commands His disciples not to fear the world’s indifference, hostility, or threats. Three times, He repeats this divine imperative: “Do not be afraid.”
God, who cares for the smallest sparrow, does not overlook your pain, your tears, or your quiet prayers.
As Jacob was assured by Joseph, and Joseph by his brothers, so too are we assured by Jesus Christ, our faithful Redeemer.
Forgiveness, flowing from God’s heart, dissolves every type and weight of fear.
Let Christ whisper into that place: “Do not be afraid—you are worth more than many sparrows.”
May your day be filled with divine assurance and abundant blessings.
God bless you.
