Good morning good people,
May the Risen Lord give you peace and blessings.
It is 07th May 2025. When and where do we feel the smell of God?
We reflect on Acts 8:1–8; John 6:35–40.
“This is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it on the last day.” (John 6:39)
Claire, a young woman from Rwanda, lost her entire family in tribal violence. Bitter and broken, she wandered into a church on the Feast of Corpus Christi. As the priest lifted the Host, her heart stirred. After Mass, a widow invited her to share a simple meal—bread and tea. That act of kindness, rooted in the Eucharist, became the start of Claire’s healing. She began to serve others, started a school, and found her life transformed. “When I met Jesus in the Eucharist,” she later said, “He gave me not just peace—but purpose.”
St. Augustine once said, “Do you want to speak the praise of God? Be yourselves what you speak. If you live good lives, you are His praise.”
Holiness is not in the noise of words but in the fragrance of a life well-lived. Goodness thrives where hearts make sacrifices to spread the aroma of God’s presence. Good never dies with a single soul—it plants seeds in the hearts of many, bearing fruit in places we may never see.
The persecution that followed the martyrdom of St. Stephen seemed, on the surface, like a crushing blow. Yet it was the spark that scattered believers across the land. What looked like defeat became divine opportunity. St. Philip, filled with zeal, carried the light into Samaria. And through his witness, joy flooded the city. Evil tried to silence the Word, but instead, it amplified it.
Moving forward in life often means moving on—from pain, betrayal, or sorrow. Sometimes, the deepest wounds are caused by those closest to us. But grace gives us strength to rise, to journey, to trust again. Life is not always smooth—it’s full of bumps and unexpected turns—but those who root themselves in God remain unshaken.
“Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.” (Psalm 66:1)
Jesus assures us: He will not lose us. He holds us in the heart of the Father’s will. As the Bread of Life, He feeds not just our bodies but our souls, and He promises resurrection, restoration, and renewal. Our faith is not confined to words or rituals. It is a living witness shown in acts of love—across borders, beyond comfort, and sometimes, even beyond understanding.
Let us be the incense of grace rising in a broken world. Let the goodness of our lives be God’s song to those who are weary.
May the Lord help us to spread the aroma of God to all. Have a lovely day.
