May the Lord give you peace and health. It is 08th January 2024. We celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. The Christmas Season concludes with this celebration.
“You are my beloved; in you I am well pleased” (Mk 1,11). Baptism is not a ticket to the Heaven. It is through the baptism with OTP (one time password) namely service. It enhances our vision to have inclusive ambition in doing good to all people. God always loves us when we listen and do the God’s will.
The mystery of salvation unfolds from the incarnation to mission on earth through Baptism. There is a closer connection between His Baptism and that of ours.
The Baptism is the most significant moment for every believer. It is even more important in the Messianic mission as Jesus identified Himself with God’s people.
It is also the day to renew our promises we made to God and the Church.
Through the Baptism, we strengthened in our ambition in doing good. We become God’s beloved children through the Baptism.
The Baptism of Jesus at the Jordan is the anticipation of his baptism of blood on the Cross that guaranteed the salvation of humanity. As Jesus shares the inner life of the Trinity by his divine nature, we are granted privilege of sharing in it through grace not by nature.
Baptism is the reenactment of the return from exile and the entry into the promised land. The more we empty ourselves in sins, the more we are filled and renewed in grace and holiness.
Through Baptism, we begin onward journey to the Homeland by constantly becoming a servant who listen to the voice of the Master.
May God continue to use us to be at the beck and call of the humanity. God bless you.
