It is16th December 2016. The readings are from Isaiah 56:1-3, 6-8; and the Gospel from John 5:33-36. The first reading describes the intention of God wishes to gather God’s people under the roof of God’s love. Our existence has a meaning in so far as we have the luxury and privilege to worship God on a daily basis in the house of prayer where God lives. It is not only a place of worship and also the place of unity and sanctity. “It is the Lord God who speaks, who gathers the outcasts of Israel: there are others I will gather besides those already gathered.” (Is.56:8). There is still more room for all people in God’s house. It is our duty to welcome them all in the name of God. Let us promote justice wrapped in God’s love and share the love of God with peace as the intentions of our hearts. The responsorial Psalm praises, “Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.” (Ps.66:4). The Gospel invites us to be a lamp for all people like John the Baptist. We all have a share to provide in promoting Jesus as much as we can. Let us provide flesh to the words of Jesus. The Word of God comes alive when begin to practice what we believe. May we testify Jesus as the truth and light of our existence every chance we get. May you have a good day.
