Dear People of God, Friars, Friends and Well-wishers,
It is 16th Day of December 2014. The Lord invites us to allow God to correct us. The Advent is not a time to rebel against God. It is the time to be corrected and admonished by our loving God. God does not want lying lips in his mountain. God is interested in purifying ourselves. First reading suggests, “For then I will change and purify the lips of the peoples.” God wishes to purify us as we stand in His holy place waiting for the Lord. Yes, indeed, the Lord hears the cry of the poor. The Psalm reads today, “The LORD is close to the broken hearted, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” We are invited to honour our words. We witness the two sons responses. One honours his words which he gave to his father. Speaking truth is nothing but honouring our words which we give it God and people. Speaking lies is merely disowning what we promised to the Lord and to the others. Let us be honest with God and make God happy. Have a blessed day.
